The Child Sponsorship Program pairs caring individuals and corporate partners with vulnerable children (ages, criteria) to provide predictable, long-term support covering education, health, nutrition and psychosocial development. Sponsors fund a monthly or annual contribution that is pooled and targeted to address the child’s holistic needs while strengthening family resilience and community services.
Ensure sponsored children access continuous education and school supplies.
Improve child health and nutrition outcomes.
Provide holistic development services (mentoring, psychosocial support, life skills).
Strengthen caregiver capacity and household stability.
Build long-term, measurable improvements in child wellbeing.
Children from families registered with Shule Child Aid Africa who meet vulnerability criteria (extreme poverty, orphaned/separated, at risk of school dropout, food insecurity). Each child undergoes a needs assessment and care plan is developed.
Identification & assessment. Field teams assess needs and prepare a child profile and care plan.
Sponsor match. Child profiles (age, interests, goals — anonymized) are shared with prospective sponsors for matching.
Funding & pooling. Sponsors commit to monthly or annual contributions. Funds are pooled into a child support account managed by Shule Child Aid Africa.
Service delivery. Funds cover school fees, supplies, health checks, nutrition packages, mentoring and caregiver support.
Monitoring & reporting. Sponsors receive regular updates (quarterly reports, photos, progress notes). Program staff monitor child wellbeing and household outcomes.
Graduation & transition. As children achieve stability, we plan transition pathways (vocational pathways, savings, alternative community support) to open spots for new children.
